The Choir
About Us

Ruckus: The UTSC Alumni & Community Choir (or Ruckus Choir for short) is a fully mixed-voice (SATB) choir founded in the Spring of 2013. Ruckus brings voices together in the continuation of lifelong engagement in music in the Scarborough area. Our home for the past few years has been at University of Toronto Scarborough, hosted by the Department of Arts, Culture and Media and the student organization Music 303. Outside of the formal education system, we seek to make music accessible throughout all ages of life and to make it an essential part of our community.

Our choir is open for all current UofT students, UofT alumni, and community members at and around the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. Singing a variety of contemporary music and traditional songs with a respect for diversity in music, Ruckus continues to provide an empowering, welcoming, accessible, fun, and dynamic environment for music. Rehearsals follow the UTSC's semesterly-based schedule.

Join us and let's make a musical ruckus!
