University of Toronto Scarborough Alumni & Community Choir
Timeline
Our History
Ruckus: The UTSC Alumni and Community Choir is a non-auditioned mixed-voice (SATB) choir. Founded in the Winter of 2013 by Brian Chang; the Choir is hosted by the Department of Arts, Culture, and Media and student organization Music 303 at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. The Choir provides a place for voices who have gone through the music program and for anyone who wants to continue to engage with music, including current students and Scarborough community members. The ensemble has performed at UTSC as well as the Scarborough Guild Alive with Culture Arts Festival, and Scarborough Civic Centre. Singing a variety of contemporary pieces with a respect for diversity in music, the Choir continues to provide an empowering, welcoming, accessible, fun, and dynamic environment for music.
